Issue with Single Payments at Volksbank & CIC Multicash

What happened?


Starting from 14/10, due to recent changes related to the Verification of Payee (VoP) regulation, single payment files (containing only one transaction) sent through Agicap might not be executed by Volksbank and certain CIC Multicash branches. These payments remain in “Sent to the bank” status, even though they have not been processed.

Who is affected?

  • Volksbank clients

  • Specific CIC Multicash branches (German EBICS contracts)

Why is this happening?


Affected banks have changed their process and now require the signature on payment files after they complete the VoP check. Currently, Agicap’s solution provides the signature before the check. This change was made by banks without prior notice, and adapting to this requires significant technical updates on our side.

What should you do?

  • If you sent single payments on or after 14/10, please check your bank account to confirm if payments were processed.

  • For urgent single payments, please use your bank’s interface directly, or send multiple payments as a batch through Agicap.

  • You may also check with your bank if there is an option to sign already sent payments from their interface, or to opt out of the new process.
