How to Create a New Project 👍

  • From the CashFlow Plan Selector:

    1. Open the project selector in your CashFlow plan.

    2. Click on the option to create a new project.

    3. Or via the project association field in the bank-tab for a transaction.

How to Modify an Existing Project ❓

  • Open your list of projects from the project selector.

  • Click on the project you wish to update.

  • Edit project details such as the forecast, KPIs, or other settings.

Note: Changes instantly update project associations and impact related dashboards.

How to Delete a Project ❓

  • Important Considerations:

    • Transactions remain in the system, only the association with the project is removed.

    • The project's forecast and KPIs are deleted.

    • Project association rules are removed, and custom dashboards that reference the project may show errors.

  • Steps:

    1. Select the project you want to delete and click on the tree dots and "Delete"

    2. Confirm deletion, acknowledging the above changes.

How to Archive a Project ✅

  • Archiving vs. Deletion:

    • Archiving only changes the project status—no data is lost.

    • Active projects and archived projects are shown in separate lists in your project selectors.

    • Association rules for archived projects continue to apply and are still listed.

  • Steps:

    1. From your project selector, choose the project to archive

    2. Change the status to "Archive" via the three dots.

How to Export Projects

  • Export Options:

    • You can export one or multiple projects from the export page.

    • Bulk export is limited to 20 projects for performance reasons.

    • The export does not include the graph; contact us if you need it.

  • Steps:

    1. Navigate to the export page in the CashFlow app.

    2. Select export type: "By project"

    3. Select the projects you wish to export (up to 20 at a time).

    4. Initiate the export process via "Export my Data"

💡 Tips

  • Use the cashflow plan project selector for quick project creation within your forecast.

  • Always check your custom dashboards after deleting a project to ensure filters are updated.

  • Archive projects instead of deleting them if you might need them later.

FAQ ❓

How do I access the project creation options?

You can create a project from both the CashFlow plan project selector and via the project association field in the bank-tab for a transaction. Simply follow the respective steps outlined above.

What happens to transactions when I delete a project?

Transactions remain in the system. However, the deletion removes the association between the transactions and the project while also deleting forecasts, KPIs, and any project-specific association rules.

Can I recover a project once it is deleted?

Deleted projects cannot be recovered, since their forecast and KPIs are permanently removed. Consider archiving if you might need to refer back to a project later.

Do archived projects affect my dashboards?

No, archiving a project only changes its status. It continues to apply association rules, and your dashboards will always list all projects, though active and archived ones are displayed in separate lists.

What limitations should I be aware of when exporting projects?

Bulk exports are limited to 20 projects for performance reasons, and the export does not include the graph. If you require the graph data, please let us know.
