What are Manual KPIs?

Manual KPIs are extra metrics you create and maintain directly in your Cashflow plan. You enter their values cell by cell. If a cell is empty, it counts as 0. They have no unit (it can be amounts, percentages, or anything else). You can also manage them at consolidated or account level.

How to create a Manual KPI?

  1. Go to KPI Advanced Settings in your Cashflow plan.

  2. Click Create KPI and select Manual.

  3. (Optional) Group your KPI by typing a group name before the KPI name.

  4. Save to see your new Manual KPI in your plan.

How to enter Manual KPI values in the plan?

  1. Open your Cashflow plan and switch to the scenario you want.

  2. Select the KPI tab.

  3. Locate your Manual KPI column.

  4. Click each cell to enter a numeric value (up to five decimals).

Important: A Manual KPI can be defined differently for each scenario, so you can adapt its values in each scenario you have.

How to import Manual KPI values from Excel?

  1. Go to Import Data, select Catgeories as import type and upload a .xls or .xlsx file.

  2. Include at least one sheet named exactly like one of your scenarios (for example, Main scenario).

  3. Column 1: Enter the full “KPI path” in each row.

    • If the KPI is grouped, write Group Name > KPI name.

    • Otherwise, just KPI name.

  4. Column 2 (optional): Enter Account names if you want to import values at account level.

  5. The following columns should have headers with the first day of each period (e.g., 01/mm/yyyy for monthly frequency).

  6. Fill in the corresponding data cells and save your file.

  7. Upload the file. Your Manual KPI values will sync into the correct cells for each scenario.

💡 Tips

  • Use groups to organize your Manual KPIs (e.g., Marketing > Ads ROI).

  • You can set different Manual KPI values per scenario, helping you compare different cashflow outcomes.

  • Download the import template to get a pre-filled file with all your Manual KPIs.

FAQ ❓

How many decimals can I use for my Manual KPIs?

You can use up to 5 decimals. Any additional digits are automatically rounded.

Can I import values for formula-based KPIs the same way?

No. You can only import values for Manual KPIs. Formula-based ones calculate automatically.

Do I need to create Manual KPIs before importing them?

Yes. In your Excel file, each KPI in the first column must exactly match an existing Manual KPI (including spelling and grouping). Otherwise, the import won’t map values correctly.

Can I enter values at both consolidated and account levels?

Yes. If you specify an Account in the second column, the value will go to that account. If you leave it blank, the value will go to the consolidated level.
