How to Activate the Reconciliation Feature
To start reconciling transactions, the CashFlow reconciliation feature must be activated. Contact the customer support via chat to have them activate it for you.
How to Use the Reconciliation Interface
Once activated, the Reconciliation tab will appear in the CashFlow navigation bar. This dedicated interface provides a user-friendly way to reconcile transactions.
Visualization: View your paid transactions alongside expected transactions to easily match them.
Filters and Search: Use filters to narrow down transactions by account or category. Utilize the search function to find specific transactions.
To-Do List: By default, only unreconciled paid transactions are shown, helping you focus on outstanding items.
How to Reconcile Transactions
Reconciling One Paid Transaction with One Expected Transaction
Select a paid transaction from the left column.
Select the corresponding expected transaction from the right column.
Review the amounts:
If amounts match, proceed to Confirm.
If there's a discrepancy, you can:
Confirm reconciliation for partial payments.
Ignore reconciliation gap to reconcile despite the mismatch.
Confirm the reconciliation.
What Happens Next?
The expected transaction is removed from your forecast.
The paid transaction is marked as Reconciled.
The category and project associations from the expected transaction are transferred to the paid transaction (unless it's To categorize).
Reconciling One Paid Transaction with Multiple Expected Transactions
Select one paid transaction.
Select multiple expected transactions that sum up to the paid amount.
Decide whether to:
Split the paid transaction into entries corresponding to each reconciled expected transaction.
Do not split if you prefer to keep the paid transaction as a single entry.
Confirm the reconciliation.
What Happens Next?
With Split:
The paid transaction is divided into multiple transactions.
Each split inherits the amount, category, and project associations from the corresponding expected transaction.
Without Split:
The paid transaction that remains is tagged as reconciled.
The expected transactions are removed from the forecast.
In the paid transaction’s side panel, the reconciliation links with all expected transactions are now displayed.
Marking Transactions as Reconciled or To Reconcile Later
Mark as Reconciled: Use this when a paid transaction doesn't have a corresponding expected transaction but needs to be excluded from your to-do list.
To Reconcile Later: Use this for paid transactions you plan to reconcile in the future when the expected transaction becomes available.
How to View and Cancel Reconciliations
View Reconciliations: In the paid transaction's side panel (e.g., in the Bank page), you can see the reconciliation links.
Cancel Reconciliations: If needed, you can cancel a reconciliation, which restores the expected transaction to your forecast.

FAQ ❓
How do reconciliation suggestions work?
In the Suggestions tab, CashFlow provides reconciliation matches by finding paid and expected transactions with exact amount matches. You can validate or reject these suggestions to streamline your reconciliation process.
Can I reconcile multiple paid transactions with one expected transaction?
Yes, select multiple paid transactions and one expected transaction to reconcile them together. Ensure the total amounts align, or choose to ignore the reconciliation gap if they don't.
What happens if I ignore the reconciliation gap?
Ignoring the reconciliation gap allows you to reconcile transactions even if the amounts don't match exactly. The expected transaction will be removed from the forecast, and the paid transaction will be marked as Reconciled.
How can I reconcile transactions that I'll handle later?
Use the To Reconcile Later option to temporarily exclude paid transactions from your to-do list until you're ready to reconcile them.
