Selecting Multiple Transactions

Multi-Select Transactions

On the Bank or Expected pages, you can select multiple transactions individually by clicking on the checkbox next to each transaction.

  • Tip: After selecting your first transaction, hold down the Shift key and click on another transaction. This will select all transactions between the first and second ones, enabling quick selection of a range of transactions.

Select All Transactions

To select all transactions in your list:

  1. Click on the checkbox at the top of the transaction list (next to the first column name). This action selects all transactions, including those not yet loaded on the page.

    • Note: When you "select all," you cannot deselect individual transactions. If you attempt to do so, only the currently loaded transactions (up to 50) will remain selected. This is expected behavior.

Performing Bulk Actions

After selecting multiple transactions, a side panel will appear with various options. The available actions may vary based on:

  • The type of transactions (inflow or outflow)

  • The accounts they are associated with (manual, connected, synchronized)

  • Whether transactions are manually created, imported, or synchronized

With multiple transactions selected, you can:

  • Perform bulk actions such as categorizing, modifying details, or deleting transactions.

  • View aggregated information like the total number of transactions selected and their combined amount.

Selecting Individual Transactions

Selection vs. Viewing Details

It's important to distinguish between selecting a transaction and opening its details:

  • Selecting a transaction: Click on the checkbox next to the transaction to select it for bulk actions.

    • The side panel will display options similar to those available when multiple transactions are selected.

    • The Split a Transaction feature is accessible here if applicable.

  • Opening transaction details: Click anywhere else on the transaction to view detailed information and additional options specific to that transaction.

Managing Transaction Visibility

By default, the Bank and Expected pages display the first 50 transactions based on your filters, search criteria, and column sorting. To load more transactions:

  • Scroll to the bottom of the page. Transactions will load incrementally, 50 at a time.

  • Note: Refreshing the page resets the list to the initial 50 transactions.

💡 Tips

  • Utilize filters and search to narrow down transactions before making selections.

  • Remember that bulk actions are context-sensitive. Ensure selected transactions are compatible (e.g., all inflows or all outflows) to access specific actions.

  • Use Shift + Click to quickly select multiple transactions without clicking each one individually.

FAQ ❓

Can I deselect some transactions after using "Select All"?

No, deselecting individual transactions after selecting all will result in only the currently loaded transactions (up to 50) remaining selected. To select specific transactions, use the multi-select method instead.

Why don't all bulk action options appear when I select multiple transactions?

Bulk actions depend on the characteristics of the selected transactions. Options may vary if transactions differ in type, account association, or creation method.

How do I load more than 50 transactions?

Scroll to the bottom of the transactions list to load additional transactions in batches of 50. Continue scrolling to load as many transactions as needed.
