Understanding Transactions in Agicap
A transaction in Agicap can be either Paid or Expected:
Paid Transactions represent completed banking flows.
Expected Transactions are future flows to be paid by or to you.
Late Expected Transactions are expected transactions with a due date in the past.
Each transaction includes:
Title
Type: Inflow or Outflow
Category
Bank Account
Amount
Currency
Payment Date
Billing Date (for Expected Transactions)
Original Due Date (for Late Expected Transactions)
Project (if enabled)
Notes
Tags
Editing Transaction Information
Edit the Title
You can update the title of any transaction (except synchronized expected transactions):
From the Transaction Details Panel:
Click on the transaction to open its details.
Edit the Title field directly.
Bulk Edit Titles:
Select multiple transactions.
Click on Display Advanced Options > Edit Name.
Note: The title length is limited to 255 characters. Exceeding this will truncate the title. The new title will be used by the Pre-categorization algorithm and Auto Categorization Rules.
Change the Bank Account
You can change the bank account for:
Paid Transactions on manual accounts (excluding synchronized accounts).
Expected Transactions created manually or imported.
To change the bank account:
From the Transaction Details Panel:
Click on the transaction to open its details.
Edit the Bank Account field.
Bulk Change Bank Accounts (for Expected Transactions):
Select multiple transactions.
Click on Display Advanced Options > Change Bank Account.
Edit the Amount
You can modify the amount for:
Paid Transactions on manual accounts.
Expected Transactions created manually or imported.
To edit the amount:
From the Transaction Details Panel:
Click on the transaction to open its details.
Edit the Amount field.
Bulk Edit Amounts (for Expected Transactions):
Select multiple transactions.
Click on Display Advanced Options > Edit Amount.
Edit the Payment Date ✅
You can change the payment date for any transaction.
For Expected Transactions:
From the Transaction Details Panel:
Click on the transaction to open its details.
Use the Payment Expected On date selector.
From the Late Transactions Sub-page:
Use the Payment Expected On selector directly in the transaction list.
For Paid Transactions:
From the Transaction Details Panel:
Click on Display Advanced Options > Edit Payment Date.
Bulk Edit Payment Dates:
Select multiple transactions.
Click on Display Advanced Options > Edit Payment Date.
How to Undo This Action?
For Synchronized Transactions:
In the transaction details panel, click on Display Original Payment Date to revert the change.
For Other Transactions:
Manually change the payment date back using the Edit Payment Date option.
Mark a Transaction as Late
To mark an expected transaction as late:
Open the transaction details panel.
Click on Mark as Late.
Set the Original Due Date—the date since when the transaction is late.
Note: Only expected transactions can be marked as late.
How to Undo This Action?
Open the transaction details panel.
Click on Mark as Not Being Late to remove the late status.
Warning: This will delete the Original Due Date, which cannot be retrieved afterward.
Deleting a Transaction ❌
What Transactions Can Be Deleted?
You can delete:
Paid Transactions on manual accounts (excluding synchronized accounts).
Expected Transactions that were created manually or imported.
How to Delete a Transaction?
From the Transaction Details Panel:
Open the transaction you wish to delete.
Click on Delete.
Bulk Delete Transactions:
Select multiple transactions that are eligible for deletion.
Use the Delete option in bulk actions.
Advanced Information 💡
Tags: "Date Changed"
When you edit the payment date of a Paid synchronized transaction, the tag Date Changed is added.
No tag is added when changing the payment date of transactions from manual bank accounts.
How Changing the Payment Date Affects Cash Balances
If the transaction remains in the same offset period, cash balances are not affected.
If the transaction moves to a different offset period, it will affect the cash balances accordingly.

Late Transactions: Mark transactions as late to keep track of overdue inflows or outflows.
Be Cautious: Changing payment dates can affect your cash flow projections and balances.

Can I retrieve the original title after changing it?
No, once you edit the transaction title in Agicap, the original title cannot be retrieved.
Will editing the payment date of a transaction affect my forecasts?
Yes, changing the payment date can alter your cash flow forecasts, especially if it moves the transaction to a different offset period.
