Ignoring transactions in Agicap allows you to exclude certain cash flows that artificially affect your cash balance. This is useful for managing internal transfers or credit card transactions that should not impact your cash flow analysis.

How to Ignore a Transaction

You can ignore a transaction in several ways:

From the Transaction Details Panel

  1. Navigate to the Transactions page or the Cashflow Plan.

  2. Click on the transaction you wish to ignore to open the details panel.

  3. Click on the Ignore button.

Using Grouped Actions

  1. On the Transactions page, select one or more transactions by checking the boxes next to them.

  2. Click on the Ignore button at the top.

From the Search Page

  1. Go to the Search page.

  2. Use filters to find the transactions you want to ignore.

  3. Select the transactions and click on the Ignore button.

Using Auto Categorization Rules

  • Set up an auto categorization rule that includes the action to ignore transactions matching certain criteria.

  • The rule will automatically ignore transactions that meet the conditions.

During Import

  • When importing transactions, include a column named Ignored in your import file.

  • For transactions you wish to ignore, set the value in the Ignored column to True.

Impact of Ignoring a Transaction

  • In Transaction Lists:

    • The transaction gets an Ignored tag.

    • Its name and amount are displayed in grey and crossed out.

  • In the Cashflow Plan:

    • The transaction is not included in the Cashflow Table, and its amount is considered as 0.

    • The transaction still impacts the Cash Balance computation with its original value.

    • It's added to the Ignored transactions KPI.

  • In Exports:

    • If the export contains ignored transactions, a column Ignored will be added to the file, marked as True for ignored transactions.

  • In Custom Dashboards:

    • Ignored transactions are considered to have an amount of 0 in any calculations referring to them.

How to Unignore a Transaction

To unignore a transaction:

  1. Select the ignored transaction.

  2. Click on Take into account in the transaction details panel.

  • Use the ignore feature to exclude transfers between your own accounts or transactions that shouldn't affect cash flow analysis.

  • Ignoring a transaction doesn't delete it; it simply excludes it from certain calculations.
