Activating the Sum of Categories Column

To display the Sum of Categories column:

  1. Click on Options in the top right-hand corner of your cashflow plan.

  2. Select Display sum of categories from the dropdown menu.

That's it! The Sum of Categories column will now appear in your cashflow plan.

Understanding the Column Values

The Sum of Categories column shows, for each category, the total amounts for the selected period. This includes:

  • Actuals: The sum of paid transactions during the selected period.

  • Forecasts: The sum of forecasted amounts during the selected period.

💡 Tip: Hover over any cell in the Sum of Categories column to see a tooltip with a breakdown of actuals and forecasts.

Customizing the Period Covered

By default, the Sum of Categories column displays values for a preset period, but you can adjust this:

  1. Click on the header of the Sum of Categories column.

  2. Choose the desired period for which you want to see the totals.

📌 Note: The period you select for the Sum of Categories column is independent of the time frame displayed in the rest of your cashflow plan.

  • Persistent Settings: The display setting for the Sum of Categories column is saved in your browser cookies. This means:

    • The column remains visible as you navigate between different entities on the same browser.

    • If you switch browsers or devices, you’ll need to activate the column again.

    • The setting is unique to your browser; other users won't see the column unless they activate it on their devices.

  • Scenario Consistency: The Sum of Categories column stays displayed regardless of the scenario you're viewing.

  • Period Flexibility: Adjust the period covered by the column anytime by clicking its header.

How do I hide the Sum of Categories column?

To hide the column:
