Once you've created your Swan account and invited your cardholders, you can start creating your cards.

Crate physical cards

The physical cards are Mastercards. You can now order the physical cards, which will take a few days to arrive.

To order the cards, simply go to the dedicated page and click on "Create a card".

From here, you choose the "physical card" option, then set the limit and associated authorizations.

Once the card has been received, you'll need to activate it by following these steps.

Create virtual cards

We advise you to use virtual cards for online payments, especially subscriptions.

For subscriptions, simply create a virtual card for each subscription, and Agicap will provide you with an exhaustive list of your current subscriptions. You can easily adjust the ceiling amount, or even deactivate a card to stop a subscription.

A virtual card has all the characteristics of a physical card, except that it is not printed, and can be used directly after creation.

There are 3 different types of virtual card:

  • Classic: A classic virtual card has all the features of a classic physical Mastercard.

  • Recurring: A recurring virtual card can only be used for a single merchant, so it's designed primarily to manage your online subscriptions. When the card is used for the first time, Swan limits it to the merchant ID that triggered the authorization:
If the card is used at the same merchant, the identifier matches and the transaction can proceed.
However, if the cardholder tries to use the card elsewhere, the transaction will be rejected because the merchant identifiers do not match.

  • Single-use: In theory, a single-use virtual card works only once, for a single transaction with a pre-defined maximum amount. Once this limit has been reached, the card becomes unusable.

Modify card limits and authorizations

For both virtual and physical cards, you can easily adjust ceilings and authorizations with a few clicks from the dedicated page by clicking on the card concerned.
