How to manage your clients and contacts list ?

With a .CSV or Excel file

To get started on following-up your clients or setting up automatic emails, you can import a list of clients and contacts into the CashCollect app.

1. How to create a new client or contact ?

From the Customers page on CashCollect, you can use the Add a client button to create a new customer. Enter the company name and your contact is ready!

You can also add one or more Contacts to your customer. This is very useful so that your reminders can be pre-filled later.

2. How to import your clients and contacts list

Go to the Clients tab of your application, and then click on the Import data buttons. After that click on Import clients or Import contact button.

You can download our template file here and fill it. Then, you will be able to import the .CSV file from your device.

💡 You can use your own file and modify it so that it matches our template, or you can fill out our template with your data.

💡 Please make sure the columns names and data correspond to our template. If the column is not well named, it will not be taken into account.

👉 A line in the CSV file creates a new client (if the name doesn't exist in your client list yet) or updates an existing client (if our system recognizes the client name)

2. The result of your file upload

After importing your file, a pop-up window will display:

  • The number of clients created

  • The number of clients updated (if their name was already in your clients list)

  • The clients (or line in your file) that couldn't be imported because of an error in the format of its data.

💡 When there are some lines in error in your file, you can display them directly from this window. In that case, you can cancel your import, modify your file consequently, and import it again.


2. Important to know

  • It is possible to import several contacts for the same customer.

  • It is possible to add data to a customer by importing the file (example: existing contact with name and phone, by importing the name, phone and address, they will be updated in Agicap).

  • When creating an invoice for a new customer, this will automatically create the new customer in CashCollect as well.

⏳ Soon the associated contact will be created as well, even if this is not yet the case.

  • It is not possible to update data by importing the file. If, for example, you want to change the contact email of a customer, a new contact will be created directly if it already exists in Agicap.
