You can change the order of your categories whenever you want in Agicap 😉

What happens if I change a parent category into a sub-category?

First case:

You create a new parent category and move into it already existing parent categories for which you have already entered objectives.

Second case:

You move categories in an already existing parent category and you have objectives entered at the level of the category to be moved but also at the level of the parent category.

💥 In this case, the following alert message will appear to tell you that the goals related to the moved category will be deleted:

"Moving a category to another implies to delete the objectives related to the moved category. The objectives of the sub-categories will also be deleted."

To avoid this, you must:

1. Create a new sub-category in the parent category into which you want to move a category.

2. Check if the objectives' entry level is set at the level of the parent category or the sub-category level. If it is set at the level of the parent category, then you have to change the input level, so the objectives can be entered into the sub-categories!

3. Go back to the Category tab in the blue banner and move the desired main category to the sub-category.

Your objectives are preserved! 💪

💡 Good to know: Bank transactions related to the category you want to move will be moved to a new sub-category "Other".
