Scenarios allow you to assess the impact that a strategic or operational decision would have on your cash flow. For example, if you want to hire or invest, you can simulate these assumptions in Agicap to help you make decisions. 📈
▶ To create a scenario, simply click on Main scenario above the graph in your dashboard and then on Create scenario. Then you need to choose a name (example: increase in turnover) and a color for the scenario. You must then select the Parent scenario, the one you wish to duplicate.
Once you click on Create scenario, all the data from your basic forecast is duplicated. All you have to do is modify the objectives according to the situation you wish to simulate! 👍
You will then see your cash flow curve adjust according to these changes.
❗ Make sure you have selected the correct scenario before changing your objectives. When you select a scenario, a box in the scenario color appars at the top of the screen indicating the name of the scenario. If this is the case, you can go ahead, click on Edit objectives and start working in your scenario.
💡 Good to know: Scenarios are closed environments: when you change the objectives of a scenario, it does not change the objectives of the main scenario.
💡💡 Good to know: You can compare two or more scenarios. It is possible to display the cash flow forecast from your main scenario (the blue curve) and your other scenarios at the same time. You can thus see the differences between them directly in the graph.
💡💡💡 Good to know: You can also modify the scenarios you have created.
