How to import a credit note?
You can import credit notes through multiple channels:
From PDF documents and images:
Click on "Add invoices"
Choose option "Import PDF invoices"
Select your credit note document
Then, select “Credit note” in the "Information verification" step.
From email (CC):
Click on "Add invoices"
Choose option "Import by email"
Copy the email address to be used for transferring your clients' invoices
Then, select “Credit note” in the "Information verification" step.
From spreadsheet (CC):
Click on "Add invoices"
Choose option "Import from spreadsheet"
Upload your file.
Use a negative amount in your file to flag the invoice as a credit note.
SDI (CC): Italian users automatically get credit notes through SDI.
What happens after importing a credit note?
You’ll see a new row under Credit notes with status Available.
An expected inflow transaction with a negative amount is created in your Treasury.
Analytics reflect the latest numbers, considering this credit note.
Which actions can be made on a credit note?
Mark as used: Updates status to Used and sets Remaining Amount of this credit note to 0. Client’s Amount due and Outstanding amount adjust accordingly.
Edit information: Update fields like Title, Client, Amount, Currency, and Issue date.
Cancel: Keeps the credit note visible, but excludes its amount from the client’s Outstanding amount.
Delete: Removes the credit note permanently from CC.
Link a document: Enclose the credit note document that is attached when a reminder is sent.
How to link a credit note to an invoice?
To match credit notes with specific invoices, click on the client invoice and click on "Link credit note". This helps you reflect the invoice status accurately and apply the credit note to reduce or clear the invoice amount.

Mark credit notes as Used once you apply them, so your outstanding amounts are always correct.

How can I see all the credit notes I’ve imported?
You can find them in CC under the Credit notes page. Each row displays status, client, and remaining amount.
Can I partially use a credit note?
If you want to apply only part of its amount, you can change the credit note amount used when you link it to an invoice.
You cannot specify a partial amount when marking a credit note as Used.
Will deleting a credit note affect my Cashflow analytics?
Yes. Deleting it removes its expected transaction and its impact on the client’s Outstanding amount and your analytics.
