Why Change the Bank of a Bank Account?

Changing the bank associated with a bank account helps you get a clearer view by grouping accounts from the same bank together. For example, if you have bank accounts created via EBICS connections and card accounts via PSD2 connections, you can group them under the same bank instead of having them split.

How to Change the Bank of a Bank Account

  1. Navigate to your bank accounts: Go to the Banks & Integration page in Agicap, from the top right menu ≡ .

  2. Select the account: Find the bank account you want to modify, click on the three dots that appear after moving the cursor over its name.

  3. Change the bank association: Click on Change Bank next to the account.

  4. Choose the new bank: Select the bank you want to associate with this account from the list of visible banks.

  5. Confirm the change: Click Change bank to update the bank association.

✅ Your bank account is now grouped under the new bank!

Things to Know

  • Visible Banks Only: Only banks that are currently visible will appear in the selection list. If a bank is hidden because its accounts are inactive, you won't be able to select it. To select a hidden bank, make sure its accounts are activated.

  • Shared Connection Groups: Changing the bank of a bank account will apply to all entities in the shared connection group. This ensures consistency across your account.

💡 Tip

If you can't find the bank you want to select, check if it's hidden due to inactive accounts not being displayed. Make the inactive accounts visible to include the bank in your choices.

Q&A ❓

Will changing the bank affect my transaction data?

No, changing the bank association doesn't affect your transactions or data. It only changes how the accounts are grouped in Agicap.

Can I change the bank for multiple accounts at once?

You'll need to change the bank association for each account individually by following the steps above.
